1. HEADQUARTERS’ ATTENTION HAS BEEN DRAWN TO A DEBUNKED ALLEGATION THAT MISSIONS ARE CHARGING OUR COMPATRIOTS IN THE DIASPORA EXTRA ADMINISTRATIVE FEES, IN ADDITION TO APPROVED PASSPORT FEES, TO AID THOSE WHO ARE I.C.T CHALLENGED TO FILL OUT THEIR ONLINE PASSPORT APPLICATION FORMS.
2. HEADQUARTERS’ INFORMATION IS THAT SUCH ASSISTANCE IS BEING PROVIDED BY OTHER GHANAIANS IN OUR VARIOUS COMMUNITIES IN THE DIASPORA AND NOT BY MISSION’S STAFF.
3. IN VIEW OF THE DEVELOPMENT, STATIONS ARE ADVISED TO CONTACT THEIR ONLINE CONSULAR SERVICE PROVIDERS TO PUBLISH AN ADVISORY NOTICE ON THEIR WEBSITE PORTALS, INFORMING MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC THAT, ASIDE FROM THE GOVERNMENT OF GHANA APPROVED FEES PUBLISHED ON THEIR INDIVIDUAL WEBSITES, MISSIONS DO NOT CHARGE ADDITIONAL FEES FOR THEIR CONSULAR SERVICES.
4. STATIONS ARE, HOWEVER, ADVISED TO RAISE THE PROPOSED COURSE OF ACTION WITH THEIR HEADS OF MISSIONS FOR THEIR CONSIDERATION AND APPROVAL, PRIOR TO EFFECTING IT.
